NEW PROCYCLING ON SALE NOW
The new issue of Procycling is now on sale in the UK and being shipped out to subcribers across the
On sale now, the January 2007 issue of Procycling is a very special one indeed – for a start, the magazine has been given a long overdue overhaul and now looks better than ever, and to mark this occasion the content has a special look too, as we select the top 50 greatest climbs in professional cycling after consulting with a host of riders who have made their careers riding very fast up them. Staying with the climbing theme, we also talk to Lucien van Impe, Michael Rasmussen and Steffen Wesemann about the mechanics of climbing in both the high mountains and the Classics, investigate the characteristics of Gilberto Simoni’s Scott climbing bike as well as a Crumpton 3.3kg hill-climb special, recall the Tour de France glory days of the Puy de Dome, and go head to head with American climbing stars Tom Danielson and Andy Hampsten. The issue also includes Les Woodland’s eyewitness account of Saturday night at the Ghent Six that ended with the tragic death of world champion Isaac Galvez.
In our regular features, Marcel Wust checks out Van Nicholas’s Aeolus in bike test, while this month’s Classic Climb sees Ellis Bacon investigating cyclosportive life beyond the Etape du Tour at the Time Megeve Mont Blanc, including the climbs of the Croix Fry and Saisies. Our sideways look at the latest headlining stories in the sport is also revamped in a new section we’ve called The Spin, there are full route details of the 2007 Giro d’Italia, plus columns from Tom Danielson, Frank Hoj and our new back page from ‘The Prince’ of team managers, Gianni Savio.
