Beaumont is presented with his NPS trophy at British Cycling bash
Team MBUK/Santa Cruz’s Marc Beaumont was formally presented with his 2005 National Points Series (NPS) downhill trophy at British Cycling’s big bash on Saturday night, and we were there to help him celebrate.
2005 was a major break through year for Marc who, as well as taking the NPS title, really made an impact on a global scale, taking thid spot in the Mont Sainte Anne (Canada) round of the World Cup and enjoying consistent high finishes.
The British Cycling awards ceremony was held in the plush surroundings of the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, home of Bolton Wanderers Football Club, and recognised achievements and contributions across the whole of British cycle sport.
Marc said, “It’s great to have your success recognised. I’d like to thank all the Team MBUK/Santa Cruz sponsors for their support because without them I couldn’t get the results. I just hope I can move things up another level in 2006.”
