A new business in the Midlands, UK, aims to make it easier to try out and buy Pivot Cycles mountain bikes.
Moor Bikes has been set up by local riders Rodney Farrell and Tom Herridge. It will initially be web-based, with pick-up points in Chesterfield, Melton Mowbray and Loughborough. But the owners say they haven’t ruled out opening a shop if the economic climate improves.
The American firm’s four-bike range will be available as frames, frame and fork packages or complete bikes. All models feature the proven dw-link suspension platform.
Rodney and Tom say they want to do things differently and make it easier for riders to take bikes for a test ride. Rodney said: “We want to change the way that, from a rider’s perspective, it’s difficult to get access to new bikes to demo them, outside of What Mountain Bike’s demo days.
“Individual demos can be arranged easily, we aren’t afraid to travel and want to bring the bikes to the riders. We go to most of the major trail centres every six to eight weeks if anyone wants to come and try one. The bikes are amazing and very competitively priced.”
