Rob Friel and Matt Barrett sign for KTM

Austrian manufacturer takes on British riders

Rob Friel (right) and Matt Barrett (left) will race for KTM in the 2009 season.

Rob Friel and Matt Barrett have signed contracts to race for KTM Bikes throughout the 2009 season, focusing on the UK national cross-country points series.


Rob Friel started as a Sport rider and fought his way up to mountain bike Elite class in 2008. He’s now ranked 16th in Great Britain. He won the overall Midlands cross country series and plans to better this performance in 2009. He’s also a category one road rider and scored a series of tarmac wins in 2008.

Matt Barrett rides in the Masters class, where he was ranked first in the 2007 season and is ranked second from the 2008 season. Matt is also a second category road racer.                                                                 


Friel and Barrett will ride Score Master mountain bikes and Revalator Master road bikes from KTM.
