Rollapaluza rolls into Cambridge and beyond

Just because they aren't going anywhere doesn't mean they're doing it for nothing

The popularity of the first two rounds has led roller-race maestros Rollapaluza to extend their popular Winter League to six events.

If you fancy going down to watch this adrenaline-fuelled spectacle, or even submit to yourself to its rigours by competing, the next event will be held on 14 January at the Imbibe Bar in London and all are welcome. Entry costs £5 and qualification begins at around 6pm, this heat will see riders compete over the traditional distance of 500m. You’ve been warned!

But that’s not all for Rollapaluza enthusiasts over the coming weeks, as the team descend on Cambridge on 16 January for a fundraising event in association with Team Cambridge

Rider entry is already full for this event, but spectators are offered free entry and the chance to see a host of local heroes, including UK cycling land-speed record holder, Masters sprint champion and roller-race supremo Dave Le Grys tackle the beast that is the stationary bike.

The event, sponsored by Ben Hayward Cycles, takes place at 7pm at The Portland Arms and is in aid of the Arthur Rank House Hospice.
