The second round of the Alpine Bikes Winter Series is taking place this weekend, February 23rd-24th, at one of the UK’s best downhill venues in Innerleithen, Scotland. There’ll be a large marquee, toilets, caterers, a sound system, live timing and commentary – and spectating is free.
The freshly sculpted track is open all day Saturday for practice, and Freelap Timing Poles will be on the course so riders can keep an accurate log of their lap times. Racing gets under way on Sunday, with practice in the morning followed by racing after lunch.
Riders without a BC licence can enter the race and still earn series points, and spaces are still available for this weekend. You can enter on the day on Saturday before 10am.
Round three takes place on March 22nd-23rd, and entry forms will be available here: www.alpinebikes.co.uk/content.asp?sID=1&pID=2
