Get your set-up exactly right
Full suspension bikes have come down greatly in price over the past few years, which means that there are lots of them about. However, there’s a surprisingly large amount of people who don’t know how to set up a full susser and are consequently riding around on poorly-set up bikes.
Mountain bike suspension isn’t as complicated as it looks – it involves basic hydraulics applied in a lightweight form – and there are general rules governing how it should be set up, no matter whether the bike is a cross-country or downhill rig or whether the shock/fork is an air or coil-sprung unit.
Follow our easy guide to setting up a full susser in the new issue of MBUK, on sale 22nd January, and your bike will be in absolutely perfect condition in no time.
