The Collective rewrote the mountain bike DVD rulebook with their trilogy of films (The Collective, Roam and Seasons), so we’ve been eagerly following the progress of their successors, Anthill Films.
After the release of some tantalising rider interviews and a short clip showing Sam Hill and Thomas Vanderham shredding on Vancouver’s North Shore – you can check them out at www.anthillfilms.com – the official teaser has finally been released.
It’s the product of a year-and-a-half of painstaking toil with some of the best downhill racers and freeriders in the business, including Gee Atherton, Brandon Semenuk, Cam McCaul, Matt Hunter, Ben Boyko, Kurt Sorge, Steve Smith and Geoff Gulevich.
The DVD is due out in mid-May, and the film will also be available as a digital download via iTunes. The world premiere takes place at the Golden State Theatre in Monterey, California on 16 April, to coincide with the Sea Otter Classic. That’ll be followed by a world tour, with at least 40 stops – check out the Anthill website for details.
Here’s what the film-makers had to say: “Follow Me is all about good times, pushing limits with your friends, crazy adventures and most importantly having fun your bike. Breaking from traditional single rider formats, the film is based on the idea that ‘no one rides alone’; mixing and matching the world’s best downhillers, freeriders and slopestylers in some of the best places to ride on the planet.”
