These wheels from DT Swiss slot in near the top in terms of performance rankings for conventionally built aero hoops.
The 46mm deep unidirectional carbon-fibre rim is a conventional flat-sided design with good straight-line aerodynamics and outstanding stiffness-to-weight performance.
Hand-laced white-bladed DT Aerolite spokes give great looks and stiffness, and feel impressively tight. Low weight and the star ratchet clutch-system-driven DT Swiss hubs mean immediate acceleration out of corners and they’re never stubborn switching direction.
Precision and responsiveness is balanced against rough road comfort, and braking with the SwissStop carbon pads is predictable in all weathers. You pay a slight premium for the white spokes and Swiss build though.
