Look Keo 2 Max pedals - in brief review£109.99

Clipless road pedal with steel platform

BikeRadar score3/5

Even though the fundamental design of Look’s venerable Keo pedal has been much copied, this is still one of the most intuitive pedals to use, with simple and safe engagement and release, and smooth rotational float.

A wide range of release tension adjustability is allowed, while three cartridge bearings per pedal aid their longevity. The Keo cleat is smaller than many other three-bolt designs, and is available in fixed (black), 4.5-degree (grey) and 9-degree (red) float options.

It’s also a relatively quiet and grippy cleat to walk on, although the plastic isn’t as hardwearing as Shimano’s, for example, and it needs cleaning to avoid squeaks.
