BikeRadar Live: Exclusive gear testing available

Labyrinth, Marzocchi and Corsair

Visitors to BikeRadar Live on 10-11 July will be the first to try out some of the latest mountain bike kit – including the Agile trail bike from new-to-the-UK brand Labyrinth, Marzocchi’s Corsa Super Leggera fork and the latest Corsair Marque all-mountain bike.

Labyrinth are the latest in a wave of Continental bike brands to make it to the UK, following hot on the heels of the likes of Lapierre (France), Mondraker (Spain), Ghost and Rose (Germany).

The rider-owned company have been going since 2001 and are based in the Le Vosges mountain range in eastern France – perfect terrain for developing an all-mountain/enduro bike like the Agile.

The 6in-travel rig, pictured here, will be exclusively available to demo throughout the BikeRadar Live weekend at the Marzocchi Positive Ride Experience tent.

The Agile features Labyrinth's Adapt Link suspension design, which is designed to be super-supple on the small stuff but handle the big hits while still feeling like it has bottomless travel

It features Labyrinth's Adapt Link suspension system – a linkage-driven single-pivot design which is designed to give three distinct stages of travel.

UK distributors Windwave say: "For the first 2in of travel, it has a very low leverage ratio to react and absorb small bumps and have greater grip. The middle part of the stroke (2.8in) is linear – this is for small to medium hits and helps to isolate the pedal action from the shock. Finally, the last 1.2in is very progressive to give a bottomless feel and to help resist large drops."

RRP is £1,399.95 (frame, shock and seat collar), and the first frames should reach the UK in July 2010.

Marzocchi’s 100mm-travel Super Leggera cross-country fork will also be available to demo. Weighing in at 1,480g, the fork will be fitted to a lightweight carbon fibre Colnago Rock hardtail. You’ll have the chance to ride this featherweight racer on the purpose-built mountain bike trails at Brands Hatch.

There’ll also be the latest generation Corsair Marque – as ridden by Chris Smith in our mountain bike demo loop preview video – which will be fitted with Marzocchi’s latest 55 RC3 Ti fork.

Factory trained technicians will be on hand to offer bike setup and product advice throughout this amazing event.

BikeRadar Live takes place on the weekend of 10-11 July at Brands Hatch in Kent. Some 8,500 riders and their families came to the inaugural event in 2009 and this year's event promises to be even more fun with more riders, more pros, more features and more races.
