Merida
Merida is a Taiwanese bicycle manufacturer that was founded in 1972. Its purpose was to prove that Taiwanese-built bikes were better quality than their reputation implied at the time.
Since it started life as a manufacturer for other well-known brands like Specialized, it knew exactly what it was doing when it decided to launch its range of bikes. Now Merida’s range is vast, spanning virtually all disciplines.
In 2017, Merida co-founded the Bahrain-Merida Pro Cycling Team, one of the first to be based in the Middle East.
