Asgard Addition Bike Store
BikeRadar verdict
"The best bike storage unit we've seen by a long way"
When it comes to bike storage, security is paramount. The Asgard Addition Bike Store holds three to four bikes, and its 1.2mm thick galvanised steel panels – including the floor – are fixed from the inside, so it’s hard to see how a thief could gain access to the contents even by force.
It’s secured to the ground using the supplied rawlbolts, so you’ll need to set aside a level ground area of at least 1990mm by 1100mm. Patio slabs or concrete act as a firm base, and the ground has to be levelled carefully in order for the double doors to close properly. The lock is tough but easy to use – it’s designed to be drill and pick-proof, and has a floor-to-roof security bolt to keep your bikes safe.
While the Addition is twice the price of a timber shed, the level of security here makes it a clear best buy, because safe storage of even the most cherished bikes can be assured.
Asgard provides a free delivery service, with self assembly taking around three hours, though Asgard will install it for you for £100.
It comes in dark or light green, ivory or dark brown.
Dimensions: H (front) 1339mm, H (back) 1444mm, W 1832mm, D 924mm

Fantastic Product!! These things are awesome. I had a cheap £200 corrigated bike shed. Soon after buying it some one came and smashed the lock off it! Nicked my road bike. I got one of these Asgard ones (more expensive :o( ) soon after (insurance paid!!) But two weeks ago somebody had a go at breaking in... No chance!! They had a good go but the locks on these things are design to shear off, so the would be burgler had a shock when he tried to force the handle, it remains locked!! Ha ! He must have had a go at the door surround as well, but the metal doors on these things are amazing, just a few scratches thats all. My Lightspeed is safe!! If you want to keep your bike GET one of these Asgard Bike Stores!!!!! 10/10!!!! Top marks from me!!

A friend and club member ordered one of these and I offered to help her assemble it when it arrived (I have constructed a similar product in the past). It took a number of weeks to deliver despite some chase up phone calls so they are probably made to order.
Radar review states 3 hours to assemble but we consider that is a little optimistic (although we could assemble a second one quicker now we have the experience) - its also VERY heavy, so start training with your weights a few weeks before it arrives. Also remember that you will probably assemble it in a different location to its final resting place so its extreme weight can be an issue.
So is it any good? - Well no doubt its sturdy, but it is really only a metal box with two doors on the front so no points for innovative design. Also one of the doors is strangely offset i.e. the doors do not cover the complete frontage - this makes it awkward for storing / removing bikes especially if you have more than one stored and need to get to the back one.
Obviously the main issue with these types of products is security - will it keep a £1,500 racer safe at night? - well in this instance no - theives managed to gain entry and steel the comp racer (obviously not mountain bike fans as they left that behind).
Looks like the box put up a good fight but ultimately lost - we have repaired it now but not very impressed for this sort of money.
