This takes a little more assembly than most racks, and it's all done with stainless Allen key bolts that are fitted from underneath. We assembled the rack upside down to make things easier, but once fitted to the car you have to work from underneath to make adjustments to the wheel mountings (for longer or shorter wheelbase bikes). This is a fiddle, and would be cured by simply having the bolts go in from the top.

Another problem we found is that large mountain bike tyres simply don't fit into the wheel holder loops, requiring you to deflate your tyres to get the bike on the rack safely. The rack sits in its own dedicated tow ball mounting, secured by four M10 (8mm Allen key) bolts, and this too is a fiddle to install so that the rack sits straight to the car.

Getting in to tighten them fully with the weight of the rack on is a two-person job, and trying to get it straight with the rack off is nigh-on impossible. This could have been a great piece of kit if only it were thought out a bit better.
