BikeRadar verdict
"The MaXx-D offers impressively powerful, adaptable and user friendly single can simplicity"

The four Cree XPG LEDs in the latest MaXx-D are 7-10 percent brighter than last year’s, and smarter thermal management circuitry and casing help boost power and efficiency. The optics produce a great balance of clear illumination, plus smoothly consistent peripheral coverage.
There’s plenty of run time for most decent night rides, but the medium setting is fine for less technical or familiar trails. The traffic light rear switch communicates remaining run time clearly. The self-contained design means no cable faff or worry about frame compatibility.
Supplementary batteries, remote switches, rear lights and USB phone/GPS recharging ‘Boost’ cable can be plugged into the ‘Smart Port’ on the back. The low profile, lightweight metal bar clamp can be left in the right position while you slide the light on and off the quick-release shoe.
