Fun to organise but it’s let down by both the back panel and a slow bladder flow rate

We’re big fans of Lezyne tools, but this pack didn’t light our fire in the same way. If you’re the type who loves to organise your kit with a place for everything and everything in its place, you’ll love the myriad compartments and pockets, including the small mesh ones on the shoulder straps and waist belt.

Handily, the front pocket has drawings on each section to help you identify where each tool goes. When it comes to comfort though, the back has a rigid quality that’s made worse by the hard edges of the pads that are designed to sit against your back and create airflow.

The bladder wasn’t a favourite either, and the valve on the pack we tested had a very slow flow rate, requiring a lot of suck to keep your thirst slaked. Plus the freezer bag-type seal and its potential security made us very nervous about its resilience to bursting if it got squashed in a fall.
