GPS mobile phones now feature some excellent mapping, navigating and tourist information for your ride, but they still don’t like the elements.
The Boxit waterproof phone case cocoons your phone while still letting you view the screen clearly and talk and listen through a Gore-Tex window. You can still use the buttons to a certain degree, depending on your phone.
It's fully waterproof – we held it in a bucket of water for over a minute without a hint of a leak – shockproof, and you get a lid plug for using a hands-free cable or earphones.
As the basic package only comes with a belt clip, you’ll want to buy either the bar mount at an extra £8.99, or the Velcro/elastic strap for an extra £6.99.
This is a clever way of having your phone heads-up and answerable when out riding, no matter what the weather. We found it particularly good for running Viewranger's GPS software – GPS navigation and route planning for the whole of Britain – all stored on the phone on your bars.

The Boxit 5 Series case has been given IP67 protection classification, which means that it is totally dustproof and watertight for 30 minutes immersion in one meter of water. The protection level of each case is checked prior to packaging. Note, however, that Gore's audio membrane is a fragile coating and the protection level is at risk when under great or sudden pressure. The case must not, therefore, be sunk deep and used e.g. when diving. A sharp shock against water face down may cause the Gore audio membrane to split and the case to lose its waterproof quality. The case must not be attached to an arm or leg while swimming. We recommend you to avoid keeping the case under water and to exercise caution during its use. The Boxit 5 Series cases can float a maximum 135 g load with a small lid and a 160 g load with a tall lid. Most mobile phones that fit the Boxit will float but due to market-specific differences and varying battery equipment we recommend you ensure that your phone floats in shallow water before use.User Reviews

I bought this as my phone as a GPS system that can track routes (which I wanted to try out) but needs the screen to be open to the sky. After a bit of searching came across the Boxit.
It is a brilliant it of kit! Although you have to buy the phone holder and the bike attachment seperately, it is easy to attach to the bike and once its there, it stays put. I have been down some bone-shaking routes and the Boxit has stayed firm all the way, even when I have been less than stable on the bike! The case narrows slightly at the base which means, as I have a rectangular phone, it is a sqeeze to put in and take out but at least it holds the phone firmly in place. As for waterproofness, it keeps the rain at bay as many sudden showers have proven.
If your looking for a phone or GPS holder, this is the case for you!

I use this to protect my Nokia 6220 with SportsTracker. The first thing to break was the catch, it snapped whilst being closed when the temperature was sub-zero. It came with a spare which is currently in use but then the handlebar mount snapped so it has to be carried in a pocket.
I contacted the manufacturer more than once, they never got back to me.
It could be a lot better.
