Our review
Great value first road bike with an uncompromising ride

You get a lot of bike for just over £1,000 these days: a flex-free carbon frame with BB30 and internal cable routing, mainly Shimano 105 components and a very efficient ride. It’s not a feather bed of a bike, but neither is it unduly harsh, and it proved a hit with everybody who rode it.

The wheels aren’t that stiff, and you could experience some brake rub when sprinting, but they’re tough and reasonable for the money. Shimano 105 worked well and our main component criticisms are the cheap-looking seatpost and an uncomfortable saddle. But it’s one of the bikes worth focusing on at this price.
