Our review
Stylish, well balanced all-rounder that bears a Tour de France winner’s name

When a new bike brand delivers a successful and pleasing-to-ride bike it’s great news. The Nitro isn’t only quick off the mark and great at accelerating and out-of-the-saddle climbing, it also goes downhill really fast, and, thanks to its predictable front end, cornering is a doddle.

Climbing in-the-saddle is competent rather than inspiring, though, and on a near-£2,000 bike we’d expect a little more than Michelin’s Dynamic Sport tyres. But this is still a very good bike, successfully balancing the needs of racer and advanced sportive rider.
