A decent fit and a good upper, but if Troy Lee ditched the silicone graphic on the palm, we’d be much happier wearing them when it rains

The GP gloves from Troy Lee Designs provide a good fit and, thanks to the Neoprene knuckle panel and rubber padding, offer decent protection against those nasty branch and bramble collisions. The palm is thin enough to allow for plenty of feel from the bars but still protects you if you take a tumble.

The thick, chequered silicone graphic across the palm does help the glove stick to the bars when in drier conditions, but hit the hills in the wet and the palm becomes slippery, making it difficult to hold on. The small Velcro closure along with the cut of the cuff means there’s little if any interference, which we like.
