Women whose shapely curves have prevented them enjoying Rapha’s cycling kit can now slip into something stylish as the brand offer their first female-specific clothing.

Similar in styling to the men’s and made of a merino and polyester mix, the Classic Jersey is warm on cool mornings, lovely and soft against the skin and wicks well.

The length is good, with gripper on the hem to keep it in place while riding, and it’s full of features – deep pockets, neck-friendly housing for the full-length zip (easy to get on and off and loads of venting) and a ‘bite’ patch on the collar.

After struggling to squash into various items of men’s Rapha kit it’s great to have something that fits comfortably around the bust and hips. Arm warmers are included, and it comes in black too.

  • Cue loads of whingers complaining that Rapha kit is massively overpriced, designed for poseurs etc. Yawn. I never understood these people. If it's too pricey or the design's not for you, there are plenty of other brands out there. Some of them not much cheaper, by the way.

    Personally, I think Rapha stuff is lovely and pretty reasonably-priced across the lifespan of the typical garment, but I do wish all the class warriors would stop seeing the whole brand as a massive urban conspiracy against grass-roots cycling. It's not.

  • yennings, I agree wrt to the product but if you want people to stop seeing Rapha as an "urban conspiracy against grass-roots cycling" then they need to stop marketing themselves as Prada on a bike.

    still, Mrs B maybe getting one of these for her birthday. she loves Prada anyway
