Our review
Worth the money just for the thought that’s gone into comfort

Adorning the feet of many pro cross-country racers, Gaerne’s G.Ara shoes have race credentials. The one-piece front construction of the upper is seriously comfortable, with minimal stitching involved. It’s also perforated forexcellent airflow, as is the padded tongue.

The AICS (Adjustable Instep Closure System) comprises two adjustable ratchets that enable you to fine-tune the fit over the top of the foot and – in turn – the instep tension for a perfect fit. We’ve found that the instep mesh lining wears incredibly well, and the injection moulded heel cup offers great support and protection without any annoying heel lift.

The carbon sole is lightweight and stiff with a tiny amount of flex in the toesection – comfy enough to keep us in the shoes all day long. The tread is grippy and sheds mud quickly. Power transfer is immediate and you can feel the benefit of the stiff sole when you put the hammer down. We’ve been riding hard in the G.Aras for a few months and they still look as good as new.
