With something resembling summer hopefully not far away, the Northwave Velvet shoe is an ideal upgrade or addition to your shoe collection.
The breathable upper mesh and generous women’s-specific fit should reduce the chances of hot feet, and they are as comfortable as any, although we would have liked to see more padding on the tongue. A rigid, carbon-reinforced sole ensures that none of your valuable work is lost, and also makes these a lightweight option for the more racing-inclined.
The closure system is simple and you’ll quickly find a comfortable fit. The Velvet also features Northwave’s impressive Ultra-Y heel design, which means that your heel is reassuringly cradled in position when you pull up harder on the pedals.
