"A good all-round multipurpose shoe with a high build quality"

Over the years, we’ve found Shimano shoes consistently well made and thoughtfully designed. The MT41s, a multi purpose shoe with an accent on hiking looks, are no exception.

These are definitely outdoorsy, mountain bike style shoes, with an aggressive tread that uses a dual compound for extra grippiness and features a re-usable SPD plate.

The leather upper is hardwearing, with mesh side panels for extra breathability. There’s a handy tab on the tongue that makes putting the shoe on a lot easier, with a Velcro strap for collecting up the shoelace ends.

For commuting use, there’s only one small reflective patch at the back but it’s effective enough.

In terms of fit, our size 44 samples came up a tiny bit shorter than 44s in other brands, though there’s not much in it.
