If Darth Vader had a pro team then you could be sure his domestiques would wear this shoe – though perhaps in a flat white rather than this pearlescent ‘flip’ that makes these shoes shimmer in bright light.
There’s only padding where it’s needed, giving a tight, supportive shape. A big vent under the toes gives an airy toe box with plenty of meshed panels providing venting for the upper too.
The nylon sole is fibreglass reinforced and impressively stiff for the shoe’s overall light weight, and makes for responsive, high-performance pedalling.
The unobtrusive, tidy tightening lever and quick-release button on the top strap is gloved-finger friendly and easily operated with one hand. Make sure you try before you buy because our size 44 test shoe came up a fraction short.
