Tough and robust and will handle falls with the best of them thanks to the high quality construction

We're big fans of Dakine’s 8 Track shorts. The double Velcro waist adjustment really helps tailor the fit, as does the stretchy rib knit panel at the rear. The design and cut allows for a wide range of motion and the double-popper closure and zip keep them secure. The mesh inner is really comfortable and there are popper tabs so you can fit a liner, but one isn’t supplied.

The two large hip pockets, two rear zippered pockets and the smaller zippered pocket on the thigh mean there’s space for all of the essentials. Although there are large vents that help promote airflow, the heavyweight fabric certainly heats up quickly when the sun comes out. The 8 Tracks are tough and robust and will handle falls with the best of them thanks to the high quality construction though. Our only niggle is the price creeping up by a tenner over the last year or so.
