"All the features are there, but it's badly let down by the cut"

Oh how we wanted to love this short. The price is affordable and the features are all there – from a light fabric (that actually feels quite hard wearing) through to long thigh vents, plenty of pockets and strategically deployed stretch inserts.

For us though, all of these plus points were let down by the straight cut across the waist, with no curve up at the back. Once we had the short on the front felt higher and  the back tended to pull down. This was exacerbated by the elastic insert in the back.

True, it does provide some give, but that aids and abets the short’s desire to nudge downwards. And the webbing belt, which is there to allow you to adjust the fit, feels like it’s fighting against it. Sorry – but this one just isn’t for us.
