None better for the price

DHB have garnered a well-earned reputation for the quality of their clothing, and with items like the Aerons you can see why. Although these summer shorts are an excellent price, there’s no skimping on quality and they compare very well with bibs that will set you back a great deal more.

Deep 1.5in grippers are super-thin and stay in place, and the thin meshed bib and braces are soft and quick to wick moisture. On the legs is fine-woven Fieldsensor Lycra, which feels great; it’s not the fastest-drying but is hard wearing. Inside is a super-stretchy elastic Cytech pad that’s super-comfortable. Highly recommended.

Simon has been cycling for as long as he can remember, and more seriously since his time at university in the Dark Ages (the 1980s). This has taken in time trialling, duathlon and triathlon and he has toured extensively in Asia and Australasia, including riding solo 2900km from Cairns to Melbourne. He now mainly rides as a long-distance commuter and leisure/fitness rider. He has been testing bikes and working for Cycling Plus in various capacities for nearly 20 years.
