This Belgian brand is little known in the UK but dresses the Belgian national cycling team. One of the warmest tights on test, the Mistrals also felt the heaviest.
The super-roubaix fabric makes up for this with its stretchability and breathability. The separate grey front waist panel is elasticated. The way the leg panels are cut seems counter-intuitive but works well and allows easy and unrestricted movement.
The four-way pad is shaped anatomically but is not the most comfortable we've tried. Reflective ankle zips are shorter than most, but combined with the substantial reflective logo on the left thigh will help keep you visible on the road. With a choice of colours Bioracer bring a refreshing change in the otherwise dull winter colour schemes.
