Security that actually works and doesn’t cost a fortune

Keeping your chain in place on your downhill, 4X or play bike is vital, but reliability has always been expensive. That was until Superstar released their Laser chain device.

With both top and bottom guides constructed from composite reinforced nylon and the back plate CNC-machined from aluminium, it’s a sturdy piece of kit that weighs just under 300g.

It’s not the lightest guide on the market but it’ll fit anything from a 32- to a 42-tooth ring and bolt directly to your ISCG mounts. They also supply a bottom bracket adaptor.

Fitting is easy and the top guide offers two mounting positions. It’s easy enough to get it running smooth. There’s very little noise, partly thanks to the jockey wheel style lower guide which helps minimise friction.

When rattling over the rough stuff, the chain stays in place without any trouble, and thanks to the burly build, the Laser can take the knocks too. Simple, cheap and reliable.
