If you get tingling or numbness in your hands while riding and you’ve tried repositioning your handlebar and wearing different gloves, you probably need more padding.
Thick cork bar tape is good but gel padding, which spreads out the pressure, is better. In this set you get four gel strips that you can trim to size and stick to the bar tops and drops before wrapping with tape.
The Microtex tape provided is grippy and breathable but can get torn by its own backing glue if you need to re-wrap your bar. We’d recommend the gel strips (£13.99 without tape) under your existing tape. Gel TT armrest pads are also available for £22.99.
