Ritchey WCS Peloton review

The Peloton is the lightest, most slimmed down pedal in Ritchey's WCS-denoted race-ready series. The retention and cleat pattern is the same as Look's standard Delta cleat.

Our review
Light and classy, but feel a big vague, especially under power

The Peloton is the lightest, most slimmed down pedal in Ritchey's WCS-denoted race-ready series. The retention and cleat pattern is the same as Look's standard Delta cleat. Although thicker than the newer KéO cleat, the stack height is kept relatively low (18mm) by the slim design of the pedal body.

Release tension is easily adjustable and the needle bearings run very smoothly. We found engagement easier on the new KéO-inspired design, but the cleat had a tendency to slip on the pedal body under high power. This produced a rather vague feeling, but there were no cases of accidental disengagement. It's not a perfect pedal but the WCSs look classy and the weight will suit the race waifs. Off the bike, a rubber bung on the base of the cleat helps to improve grip when walking.
