Maxxis High Roller Single Ply Super Tacky 2.35in

BikeRadar verdict
"Stickies are slow but offer a super traction, great value all-rounder"

Another classic high-grip tread from Maxxis, the High Roller is a no-brainer if you want grip wherever you're riding.
The sharply sloped centre tread either rolls fast or bites deep depending which way round you have it, but clears the thickest muck fast.
The Super Tacky compound version here is definitely on the slow and fast-wearing side, although it hides drag well when you're on rough off-road. There's a huge range of sizes and weights from XC to DH too, so everyone can benefit from the phenomenally surefooted performance and pricing is super cheap.

Defo go with the 2.25 Single Ply Super Tacky upfront. Greta traction and will last for ages.
Try a 60a MaxxPro compound on the rear, will roll faster than the 42a Super Tacky and last twice as long. You will sacrafice grip by a small percentage, but who cares, it's on the rear!
Cheers.

Got these (tacky) front and rear on my Bluepig as I wanted something tough with grip. They give me both aplenty and I haven't had any issues not because I don't ride fast I reckon I'm a little quicker than average (just lol). Yes they don't roll as fast as my mates conti kings on his zesty. I know this as we have a little comp which I lose each time where we freewheel from a standing start but these are heavyweights and breeze through anything at Llandegla. A few fire roads on these and you'll fly up them on something like say Kenda SB8's come summer. I'm thinking of trying SB8's tubeless should knock a kilo + off my rig and I can already leave my mates on that long ole climb...Mind you as the article said I might turn them and see if they roll faster. Could be a two in one tyre, wouldn't that be something :)
lil vid of my mate following me see them in action, real world so to speak...
