When we reviewed the ContourGPS earlier this year we were impressed by its construction and feature set but felt it wasn't quite up there with our favourite helmet cam, the GoPro HD Helmet HERO, when it came to image quality and mounting options.

Well, Contour now have a new HD camera, the Contour+, which uses the same casing but features a wider angle (170 vs 135°) and better quality lens, HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) streaming to your TV and a port for an external microphone.

It also retains some of the key features of the previous model, including GPS hardware so you can link your videos with the locations where they were filmed using Contour's Storyteller software, and Bluetooth connectivity so you can pair it with your iPhone or Android mobile to adjust settings and use it as a viewfinder.

We'll be putting the new camera through its paces everywhere from the French Alps to our local trails in South West England. Look out for a review on BikeRadar soon. RRP is £499.99.
