The latest products in cycling on show in the Innovation Lab

Next year's London Bike Show, held on 12-15 February, is getting ever closer and so is the chance to see cycling's most interesting and exciting new products in the show's Innovation Lab.

Run in association with BikeBiz, the Innovation Lab will showcase ground-breaking concept bikes, mobile apps, technology, start-ups, transport schemes and the latest innovations in safety equipment, kit, accessories and clothing.

The Lab supports a trend in development and innovation, which has seen numerous cycling brands find success through crowdfunding websites such as Kickstarter and the BBC TV series Dragon’s Den. The Innovation Lab will offer brands and companies an exciting opportunity to position their product at the forefront of development and innovation within cycling.

The London Bike Show attracted more than 45,000 visitors in 2014, and products that have previously launched at the show have included last year's reveal of the world’s first 3D printed bike, developed by Empire Cycles. The bike has received worldwide press while other brands that have used the London Bike Show as a platform to launch new products in recent years include HipLock, Blaze, Ashmei and Aprire Bicycles.

The most innovative product featured in the Lab will be in with a chance of being awarded The London Bike Show Innovation Award. One brand vying for that accolade will be Caterham Cycling, which has recently transformed its composites knowledge, stemming from decades of designing for motorsport, marine and aerospace, onto two wheels to create the beautiful Caterham Duo Cali.

Caterham marketing representative Nicola Sykes said: “The first five bikes, consisting of four carbon and one steel, got a great reaction at their Eurobike launch in August – and we’re excited to be able to bring further models to London in 2015. With some unique, innovative and stunningly beautiful features, we’re sure they’ll turn some heads in London too.”

Other exhibitors to have recently confirmed their attendance at the London Bike Show include Moore Large, Canyon, Paligap and Raleigh. They join the likes of Madison, Schwalbe, Extra UK and Tri UK at the event.
