Reynolds RZR 92 wheels hit the UK

The Reynolds RZR 92 aero wheelset designed by Paul Lew is now available in the UK via Reynolds Composites dealers. It's astronomically expensive at £4,800 but could be one of the quickest all-round road and time trial wheelsets available – faster, Reynolds claim, than a disc and deep-rimmed front wheel combination in just about any wind conditions.

You can read plenty of tech detail in James Huang's story, Reynolds debut deeper and faster RZR 92.2 wheels, but we were given further insight into the RZR 92 by Lew when he visited BikeRadar Towers in Bath recently. We'll have a full story on Paul shortly, including his background as a designer of unmanned aircraft for the US military, the UCI's vetoing of nanotechnology, what's gone into the RZR wheels to make them so quick, and some surprising test results.
