Zabriskie takes another US time trial championship

Garmin-Slipstream's time trial specialist Dave Zabriskie won his fourth consecutive US national time trial championship in Greenville, South Carolina Saturday.

Zabriskie finished the 33.4km course in 39:37, beating runner-up Tom Zirbel (Bissell) by 44 seconds. Scott Zwizanksi (Kelly Benefit Strategies) finished third, 1:41 behind Zabriskie.

Sunday is the national road race championship, with local favourite George Hincapie battling Floyd Landis, and Christian Vande Velde. Defending road champion Tyler Hamilton retired earlier this season.
