Paris-Roubaix is here!

Paris-Roubaix will take place on Sunday 12 April 2026 is the culmination of the cobbled Classics, before the one-day racing heads to smoother ground for the Amstel Gold race, La Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège.

The race is notorious for its cobbled secteurs – 30 of them in the men's race this season, totalling 54.8km of hellish tooth-rattling pavé scattered through the latter part of the 258.3km route. This year, the organisers have played with the formula to offer up a cluster of four cobbled secteurs earlier in the race, as well as an 800m long climb on the pavé, with the aim of splitting the field earlier.

The women's race will, for the first time, be held on the same day as the men's. Riders get off more lightly, with 33.7km of cobbles, over the 144km route starting in Denain, although that's 4.5km more than in 2025 thanks to three new secteurs.

Both races finish with one and a half laps of the iconic velodrome in Roubaix, which has seen a mix of epic solo wins and bunch sprints over the race's 130 year history, with Mathieu van der Poel pulling off the former in 2025, his third successive win, after Tadej Pogačar overcooked a corner with 40km to go.

Pauline Ferrand-Prévot also raced solo to win the women's race, after attacking on the four-star Camphin-en-Pévèle secteur with 15km to ride.

When it’s dry, as it has been for most of the recent races, the riders arrive for the ritual lap of the velodrome in Roubaix covered in dust; wet weather, as in 2021 when the race was rescheduled to October, swaps that for mud.
