Hate to brag - well, actually, that's not true, I love to brag - but I have an unbeatable time for cycling around the world although the Guinness folks (rather sensibly) won't count it:
Here's the tale: http://my-bicycle-and-i.co.uk/2011/pole-position/

@Hoopdriver: that's a cracking read! Were you not tempted to build some jumps and really put the bike through its paces?

Thanks. IT would have been a hoot to try that but there's on way known you'd ever get up enough speed on that Polar Bike to jump anything. I must say though that the mental image of it clearing the pole, a la BMX, is hilarious. Only wish it could have been done,
As it was it was funny as hell to ride around the Pole like that - truly a once in a lifetime experience!

Guinness assured us the record is 106 days. It was confirmed as 96 at the turn of the year, but knocked up to 106 last week.
