Cyclo-cross
Cyclo-cross bikes have become popular over the past few years, driven both by growth in racing – especially in the US – and the realisation that they make excellent commuting machines.
Cyclo-cross racing is cheap, quick and easy to enter, and it’s a great way to keep your fitness up over winter and improve your bike handling skills. If you’re not the competitive sort, 'cross bikes are also ideal for the pothole-strewn urban jungle, with fatter tyres than normal road bikes, beefed-up frames and more powerful brakes.
On this page we’ll bring you reviews of the latest ‘cross bikes and kit, along with workshop advice, features on pro racers’ bikes and interviews with some key people in the sport.
