The Cycle Show is 20 years old this year and returns to Alexandra Palace in London from April 21-23.

As in previous years, there's a star-studded cast of bikes, equipment and riders, and loads to do. Plus, there's a host of stars you can hear speak and rub shoulders with, from Chris Froome to Zoe Backstedt, Shanaze Reade, Kriss Kyle and many other pro riders from all disciplines.

There's a huge range of cycling brands exhibiting as well, from 3T and BMC bikes to equipment brands such as Fizik and Ergon. Makers of electric bikes aren't neglected either, with brands including Tern and MiRider, and ebike component brands such as Bosch, Bafang and Fazua.

Campagnolo, SRAM, Mavic and more of the biggest cycling brands will also be stallholders. You’ll be able to test out their latest tech and equipment, and taste new nutrition products.

Here are five great reasons to visit the 2023 Cycle Show.

1. See bikes galore

Marvel at some incredible custom bike builds.

You'll be able to feast your eyes on the latest bikes from the likes of BMC, Wilier, Orro and Bianchi, as well as more niche brands such as All-City, Basso, Kinesis, Quirk and Niner.

Add to that an array of stunning custom builds from the likes of Fat Creations, who won the best bike honours at the 2022 show. There's also a retro 1980s exhibition of BMX bikes from the sport's early years.

2. Take a test ride

Book a test track slot to secure your ride.

There's also the chance to win a place on a ride-out with former pro Nicolas Roche, who will be hosting the ride on the Sunday of the show.

3. Test your riding skills and be amazed by the experts

If you fancy yourself as fast on the hills, the FulGaz stand has a virtual Alexandra Palace hill climb to prove your mettle. You can register to try at home before coming to the show and there are prizes and free gifts for topping the leaderboards on the day.

Meanwhile, if you're a track stand expert, you can try for a new world record with British Cycling, who are hosting a competition to beat the current record. It stands at 21 minutes, 34 seconds.
