Pricey, but worth it for the extra miles you’ll squeeze out of training

Vanguard have come up trumps with this nifty long-sleeved top. The breathable Windflex panels on the chest, shoulders and side protect you from blustery conditions, and the thin polyester microfibre back and underarms suck up sweat and allow the skin to breathe.

And the technology really works. Temperature was perfect after a two-hour hilly ride. In fact, we were so comfortable we were sure we weren’t riding hard enough, and psychologically were spurred on to pedal more miles. The fabric’s super-stretchy too, ensuring a snug fit, yet still allowing great movement.

Unfortunately, the revolutionary Windflex fabric doesn’t have a revolutionary price, pushing the cost up to around £60, which is a little pricey, but we reckon it’s worth every penny seeing as we squeezed extra miles out of training thanks to super comfort.
