Managing editor

Gary Walker is BikeRadar’s managing editor and guardian of the hallowed style guide, joining us in 2021. He has a BA Hons degree in Journalism and has worked on websites, magazines and newspapers for the past 23 years, writing and editing countless articles. He’s turned his pen to everything from guitar amplifiers and football matches to general elections and travel features, interviewed some of the biggest bands in the world and won two PPA Independent Publisher Awards along the way. Mo Mowlam once gave him a banana skin as a present, and he very nearly met the Dalai Lama backstage at Glastonbury. Gary is also a keen runner and when he’s not navigating the punishing hills around Bristol on his long-term test bike, he can usually be found training for his next half-marathon or supping a cool, hazy pale ale. As a lifelong music fan, he also looks after our testing of the best cycling headphones. You can email Gary at gary.walker@ourmedia.co.uk
