Gary Walker

Gary Walker is BikeRadar’s sub-editor and enforcer of the hallowed style guide. He has worked in online, magazine and newspaper journalism for the past 21 years, writing and editing hundreds, possibly thousands of articles. He’s turned his pen to everything from guitar amplifiers and football matches to general elections and travel features, interviewed some of the biggest bands in the world and won two PPA Independent Publisher Awards along the way. Mo Mowlam once gave him a banana skin as a present, and he very nearly met the Dalai Lama backstage at Glastonbury. Gary is also a keen runner and when he’s not out navigating the punishing hills around his home city of Bristol on his Ribble Hybrid AL Leisure long-term test bike, he can usually be found training for his next half-marathon or supping a cool, hazy pale ale.
