Our review
Comfortable, airy and with decent performance, but straps poor

The Futura XR is big on comfort. Overlapping sides replace the need for a tongue, and a loop helps to position the inner while securing the ankle strap.

The mesh is so plush that your foot feels as though it’s wrapped in cushions, with the soft synthetic uppers very supple. The carbon composite sole isn’t race stiff, but performs well and has plenty of vents, which you can embrace or counter with the warm or cool conditions insoles provided.

‘Cat’s tongue’ material inside the heel aids foot retention, and our only frustration was difficulty tightening the velcro straps enough.
