Basso’s race-ready road bike, the Diamante, was introduced back in 2014 and has been its most popular model since.

Alessandro from Basso talks us through the two new bikes

The bike has been refreshed for 2019, seeing an update to the seat clamp arrangement, a slight change to the geometry of the bike and clearances for up to 28mm tyres, and the addition of a disc brake model.

A rim brake model is still available and is built around direct-mount calipers.

Basso has also introduced the Palta, the Italian brand’s take on an all-round gravel-adventuring bike.

The 1x-specific bike has clearances for 700x42mm tyres, squish-enough for all but the gnarliest off-road dalliances. A mudguard kit and a fork with additional mounts is also available for the bike.
