We’re sorry to be the bearers of bad news, but the days are getting shorter, the weather’s getting colder and despite the rather lovely summer we’ve had so far, rain will likely become an increasingly common sight as we move into autumn and winter.
But fear not as we’ve pulled together some of the best deals on cycling waterproofs to keep you dry, toasty and warm when the weather turns on you.
Endura Pro SL Shell jacket — £165 £99.99
The Endura Pro SL jacket is one of our top performers Dave Caudrey / Cycling Plus
The Endura Pro SL Shell jacket is one of our top rated options for road riding. It”s not the lightest option out there, but provides excellent protection and useful features for a day out riding in the rain. We already felt this jacket represented great value for money at retail, so the deal we’ve found here is a bit of a steal!

Paramo Quito jacket — £230 £115
The Quito is a comfortable, quiet and easily repairable option for cycling and other outdoor activities Andrew Lloyd
While Paramo is best known for its high-end hiking jackets, the Quito is a multi-activity waterproof designed with an emphasis on cycling. Rather than the membrane-based technology usually found in waterproofs, the jacket uses the brand’s Nikwax Analogy waterproof material. The jacket is incredibly comfortable to wear, even against skin, and is easy to repair should you take a tumble out on the trail. You can pick up Paramo’s overstock on eBay with a healthy discount.
Endura Women’s SingleTrack jacket — £114 £45.59
The Endura SingleTrack is a great all-round waterproof Steve Behr / Immediate Media
The SingleTrack is a great all-round 2.5 layer mountain bike waterproof with a rollaway hood, a dropped hem and zippered underarm vents. The cut is slim enough to stop fluttering at high speed without being overly restrictive and is now available at an even more competitive price.
Sportful Fiandre WS LRR jacket SS — £180 £89.99
The Sportful Fiandre is our very favourite ‘jerket’ Reuben Bakker-Dyos / Immediate Media
We often find a full-on waterproof can be too much in all but the worst rain.
If you run hot then it may be worth looking at a ‘jerket’ style jacket, that will sacrifice some rain protection for improved breathability and overall comfort.
Our very favourite is the Sportful Fiandre, which is lined with Gore Windstopper and does a marvellous job of warding off the very worst weather, keeping you snug even if you run into the occasional rain shower.
