The Antigravity A1 combines a lightweight (249g) compact drone with twin cameras from Insta360 and some very clever AI programming to enable even a novice drone pilot to create incredible footage.
With 8k performance and incorporating a 360-degree camera system from Insta360, the compact A1 drone could elevate your ride clips to new levels – and you don’t need a licence to fly it.
The idea behind incorporating 360-degree cameras into the drone is to enable it to capture full footage in the round. That means whether you’re tracking a fast road corner, a downhill run, dirt jumps or myriad other high-speed rides, you don’t have to be a drone expert.
The intelligent auto-editing software will pre-edit the footage, keeping the rider in frame. The ability to reframe all your footage post-filming could be groundbreaking.
Put simply, if the drone is in the air, you’re never going to miss your shot.
Complex pro-level filming for novices

Professional drone cinematographers have raved about how the A1 can capture complex shots involving flying between objects such as trees while tracking their subject.
Many pro drone flyers will have two operators – one to fly and one to operate the camera. The A1 does away with that need according to Antigravity.
As well as having a pistol-grip controller, the A1 drone comes with a set of flight-vision goggles. This first-person view when flying and filming has been incredible on the couple of occasions I've tried it. It’s similar to wearing VR goggles and gives the unnerving feeling of flying. I’m not sure how useful it is for recording video, but wow, it’s fun.

The drone has built-in obstacle-avoidance technology, so even for a novice like me, there's the reassurance that a lack of flying ability won't result in an expensive crash.
The Antigravity A1 is the first of its kind, and the fact it can be used by a beginner to create footage that would usually take months, if not years, of experience to obtain is deeply impressive.
However, it doesn't come cheap, at £1,499 for the package I've been trying out.
