You can now tap into Tadej Pogačar’s dream state with this special-edition Met Trenta 3K Carbon helmet

The helmet is said to reflect the place where "effort fades yet speed increases”

Few cyclists garner as much attention as Tadej Pogačar. At 27 years old, he has won the Tour de France four times, and following his victory at Milan–San Remo in March, the only Monument he hasn’t claimed is Paris–Roubaix. His success on the road has led to a fascination off it, with people obsessing over bleach-blonde hair or parting with extravagant sums to own a part of his legacy.

It should come as little surprise, then, that his name has turned into a merchandising opportunity and the latest Pogi product fans can get their cycling mitts on is this rather bold Met Venta 3K Carbon helmet.

Released in February, Met said the helmet was designed to be as “ethereal as the rider who inspired it” and to reflect the “dream state where effort fades yet speed increases”.

That state might remain oneiric, for me at least, but there’s no denying the appeal of the helmet’s ethereal finish and Met’s claims for the Venta 3K Carbon helmet make it an appealing choice now we’re heading into warmer weather.

Met says the Venta 3K Carbon helmet is its most ventilated lid. This is due partly to its carbon ‘wing’, which eliminates the need for EPS foam from the helmet’s frame and helps create a 'continuous internal air channel'.

Trading foam for carbon hasn’t impacted the helmet’s safety. The helmet has MIPS’ Airnode liner to protect against rotational impact and Met says the helmet was awarded five stars by Virginia Tech.

Despite its generous ventilation, MET says it has optimised the Venta in the wind tunnel to improve its aerodynamic performance.

Like some of the merch you can buy from Pogačar’s own store, the Venta 3K Carbon is decorated with the world champion’s T-shaped logo and his name is written out just above the adjustment dial.

Alongside the colour scheme, these small touches add a small premium to this special-edition helmet. The Tadej Pogačar Venta 3K Carbon costs £390, which is £40 more than the standard version.

If you want something a bit more affordable – and aero – Met also released a Tadej Pogačar Venta helmet, which will set you back £250.
