Electric tyre inflators were my favourite tech development of 2025, and the range of options looks set to grow in 2026, with updates to existing favourites and new products from some big brands on the way.
The first to arrive comes from Truflo, the British pump specialist, with the new Electron.
The Electron has an enviable specification with an impressive price of £49.99 and looks as if it could be a competitor to the best electric inflators.
Compact package

The Electron is compact, weighing in at only 118g and measuring 70x32x44mm. It will stow easily in a jersey pocket, and is smaller and lighter than my current favourite, the Prestacycle Prestaflator Go.
With a bright colour screen and a built-in torch, it has plenty of useful features for all conditions and even riding after dark.
Truflo doesn't state a battery capacity, although I have found it ample. I've used it for seating and inflating two sets of tubeless road tyres – a 35mm set up to 52psi, and a pair of 32mms up to 50psi, with one bar remaining on the LED battery indicator graphic.

The Truflo has been a companion on a fair few gravel test rides over the last few months. Being able to adjust my pressures between off-road and tarmac is one of my favourite functions of this type of pump. I've found it easy to use, with a strong battery life, and the included extras have made it useful for both road and gravel riding.
Switching between Presta and Schrader valve heads is simple, even more so with the extension hose.
I like the inclusion of both a watertight ziplock bag and a cloth carry case. Ziplocks are great for keeping things dry, but they gather a lot of condensation, which can make a jersey pocket damp. I've found combining the ziplock inside the cloth bag keeps both pump and pocket drier.
I'll be pitching the Truflo up against the electric mini pumps I've tested, but early impressions of the Truflo Electron are positive.
